What Does Don’t Make Yourself Too Available Mean?

When you make yourself too available it means that you’re allowing others to take advantage of you. For example, if you’re constantly checking your phone or responding to every text message or email, then you’re making yourself too available.

You’re making yourself an easy target for predators and making it easier for people to manipulate or control you. It’s important to be selective about who you allow into your life and how much time and energy you devote to each individual relationship.

You should also know when to “cut off the lines” by not communicating with someone who is clearly not worth your time.

It’s okay to set boundaries so that you can protect yourself from potential harm. Just make sure that those boundaries are realistic and based on a healthy understanding of your needs and wants as a person.

Another way in which someone could be considered “too available” is if they spend all their time thinking about what they can do for others instead of focusing on what they want to accomplish themselves.

Not only does this take away from your own goals and ambitions, but it can make you feel resentful and frustrated when no one offers you help or support in return.
